Sara is a first-year Ph.D. student working with Professor Albert-László Barabási at CCNR. She graduated from the University of Pisa with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and a Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. In her undergraduate studies, she received a full scholarship from Scuola Normale Superiore, where she attended advanced math and physics courses. Her Master's thesis project was carried out at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca under the joint supervision of Professor Caldarelli (Full Professor in Theoretical Physics and coordinator of the NETWORKS research unit) and Professor Tribastone (Associate Professor of Computer Science within the SysMA research unit); her work focused on the relation between structure and dynamics of biological systems, investigated with network analysis and model reduction methods. She is currently interested in the application of network science to the study of biological networks.
